Twelve Stones, Loved It!

This past weekend we had family visiting our new home here in Flower Mound, TX.  It was really great to see everyone and the kids had a blast.  It’s been such a big change moving our family away from everything we’ve ever known.

Twelve StonesSaturday night was adult night out on the town so of course we had to find a place to have a nice dinner since we wouldn’t have the added stress of keeping the kids happy while we eat.  I chose to take them to Twelve Stones since I heard so many wonderful things about it, it was nice and close to home and let’s face it, I personally really wanted to go there finally. 🙂

3-Home-Bar

Let’s just say they met all expectations!  The service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious.  It was a perfect TX evening so of course we had to sit outside.

We started the dinner out with drinks.  The beer selection was pretty decent.  My husband gave it a 6 out of 10 and he’s 100% “beer snob” so anything 5 and up is doing pretty good.  I myself got a dirty martini which was made perfect.

For appetizers, my sister and her husband split the calamari, my cousin and her husband split the deviled eggs which looked amazing and Eric and I split a plate called BLT, which was pork belly, micro green salad, and tomato jam on a toasted crostini.  I wanted the calamari as well but these did not disappoint.

2-Home-Scallops

Our main course turned out to be an easy order for the waiter (who was great by the way but I’ll get back to that).  The girls each ordered the Diver Sea Scallops and the guys ordered the Hanger Steak with Chimichurri Sauce.  Without going into too much detail, it was all excellent!  Everything was cooked just as we asked and the portion sizes were perfect!

4-Home-Cheesecake

We ended the night all sharing desserts, which are made in house.  We don’t typically order dessert but it just sounded too darn tasty not too.  Plus Eric was intrigued by the Black Pepper Cheesecake which was black pepper infused cheesecake with Oreo® cookie crust with candied peppers and smoked jalapeño raspberry sauce.  Plus, he’s a sucker for cheesecake.  Of course, it was great which was a perfect ending to such a great meal.

DavidOh, and before I end my experience, the service was top notch.  Our waiter was fantastic.  Very funny and since he was also a chef and very informative,  which was perfect since one of us eats a strict gluten free diet.  We also then got a visit from the owner and chef David, who was very nice to talk to.

Anyways.  If you have an experience like we did, you will not be disappointed.  Thanks again Twelve Stones.  We will be back soon!
